May Week 3 – Fashion & Style

HOT RAWK styles spiced up with Celtic plaids were the inspiration behind this week’s look. Nimo Little and I wanted to recreate that sexually-intense sweat, electric guitar and drum-beat rock look but brought bang up to date with trendy tartans and funked-up hair.

Nimo’s gone for a Lolita rock chic ensemble… revealing red and black tartan mini skirt by Ducknipple, super sexy knee high black boots by Courtisan, frayed ‘n’ cropped black sweater by Ducknipple and a school girl dollarbie red tie by Bliensen + MaiTai. An eyecatching candy pink wild hair style by completes the 21st century rock band theme.

Like Nimo, I wanted to stay faithful to ‘old-skool’ rock roots — long hair and denim — but give it a contemporary kick. I went for hair in a shade called Salamander of wine reds and crimsons by Sadistic Hacker, prim-formed black denim jacket by Aoharu over a sexy tear-off plaid shirt from SG, great textured ripped jeans by League, and lazily-fitted biker boots by Redgrave. We both roughened our looks with hard-core face piercings from Ducknipple.

March Week 3 – Fashion & Style

A slightly different theme this week for the March week 3 Fashion and Style.  Previous weeks winners have concentrated on high fashion and haute couture, so to spice it up a little bit , this week looks is casual chic. So how did our March Stylist winners, Kyrianna Afarensis and Tact Arida manage mixing and matching the LE.LOOK! style ?

Kyrianna  and Tact  manages to make a seemingly casual outfit look chic and uniformed.  How did they do this ?  Read on for this weeks style card and how to create the LE.LOOK!

Looking different is never an easy task in SL.  Many of us wear off the rack items creating very little uniqueness.   With a little imagination,  Tact has used various designers to jumble his ideas to create a look of his own.

Skinny Pants , hot or not ?  Recently, we’ve noticed a brave new denim concept gaining currency – the skinny jean! Well in Secondlife anything is possible.  Tact combines his looks with an over sized coat from SG Fashion and rock god undertones of MRM’s skinny pants.  To provide some contrast to the rock look, he has accessorised with a white crisp shirt from Zaara.

She has demonstrated clearly that she is isn’t afraid to portray different sides of her personality through what she wears and has experimented mashing up a contrasting looks to provide an overall Casual Chic undertone.

February Week 3 – Fashion & Style

With the competition so rife between the February winners of the LE.LOOK! stylist search,  Aleida Rhode and Saudade Breguet had a lot to pull out of the bag to show the LE.LOOK! community if they were worthy winners of  this months title.   Did they disappoint ?  Of course they didn’t !  Glam, Boho, Vintage , its time to rock out with this quirky look.

I asked Aleida what was her inspiration for creating their look.

She said, ” With spring and summer approaching, you open the door outside and realise that a coat with headband and boots will keep you warm without loosing the “chic” effect.   Saudade and I wanted to create a fresh bohemian look with a mash up of styles but in fresh vibrant colours.   We wanted to create a statement,  arty, chic and vintage wrapped into one. ”

You’ll need to channel your inner bad girl to pull off this rebellious look, as exemplified by Aleida.  Creating  a gypsy rock style of the ’60s and ’70s, she has recreated a rock vintage diva by teaming together the zebra camisole from crush and the LeLutka Clipping Dress.  A hot look for spring 2009 are these graphical treatments and our runways are being filled with the chosen look of the season .

She has completed the outfit with rock chick hair from Find Ash, with headscarf.   For her feet,  she has chosen white knee high strapped boots from Courtisane co ordinating nicely with her overlook style and a black clutch from LeLutka.   To give uniqueness and style,  she has teamed together the faux fur cherry dublin coat from SG Fashion which has overall created a vintage statement.

Saudade’s flamboyent outfit reminds me of something I would see in the streets of Montmartre,  the cradle for art and innovation.  His arty Bohemian style compliments Aleida perfectly.   With a combination of designers, he has used the sultry yet sexy chic skin from Aitui teamed with MADesigns  hair, with his Fedora mix with his outfit he permeates the godfather of fashion!
