May Week 2 – Fashion & Style
PUNK is an eternal look that’s never gone out of fashion. Street, edgy, urban, unconventional and just plain cool, it’s an easy to achieve and eye-catching style. This week’s stylists Miu Edman and Ymre Diesel found inspiration in the distinctive looks of punk idols “Sid and Nancy”.
Miu returns to the blog with a funky choice of mix and match elements from the LE.LOOK! quality fashion district. She’s taken a style born in the streets of London in the 1970s and given it a creative “here and now” feel. Her sexy urban casual wear is for the Nancy Spungen of the 21st century.

Meet Ymre, our second male stylist for May. He’s managed to pull together elements of cool punking-the-system with an edge of vulnerability with an inspired choice of SG Galife pants mixed with cash-print tank and loose plaid boyish shirt tied round the waist. This is Sid Vicious with a contempory twist.
“It was a challenge for me to wear the shirt around waist because it’s for women,” said Ymre. “I wanted to show men that if you look hard enough and be creative, sometimes it’s possible to wear clothes made for girls .. just don’t pick a cocktail dress!”

April Week 3 – Fashion & Style
Welcome to April Week 3, Fashion and Style with this month’s stylists Miu Edman and Homer Razor. From hip hop to slang, there is an abundance of creativity in ‘urban culture’. Urban cool depicts these trend setters this week, with additional fusion and vibrancy of colours and accessories. One key trend that is standing out on the runways and into both men’s and women’s wardrobes is a new take on relaxed street wear.
Miu’s overuse of accessories this week is a classic example of mixing and matching pieces. This look is extremely accessible and easy to wear. Urban cool, is really about about a relaxed approach to fashion: perfect for the summer and casual street wear.
As Miu has demonstrated she has taken wardrobe basics using DUTCH TOUCH Jean Skirt and Decoy Jacket and twisted them with stand out pieces. The rock chic detailed studded belt by Digit Darkes, ATOMIC Boom Bag and headphones in pink are classic pieces that have provided this styling with additional cool. Teamed with cute ankle socks, Miu has used the exuberant and vivid Pornstar footwear.
Her skin, from MAI is a perfect contrast against fascino’s short, sharp black hair. The pink lips and the dark eyes compliment the look completely. The distinguished Corinthians love tattoo from dEVOL provides additional uniqueness to this look.

A key aspect of this trend is also mixing different textures and fabrics in one look. He has offered a fresh perspective on urban cool. Homer’s styling once again compliments Miu’s, with similar colours. By also using wardrobe basics such as these adorable cropped distressed jeans from SG Fashion, he has complimented the look with quirky hipster feet from Pornstar. Homer has successfully accessorised with ATOMIC Headphones in red and the over sized detailed bracelet from EarthStones, an accessory we were not sure would work, but in my opinion stands out completely as a unique piece.
The tight classic T shirt is now a fashion staple. This ribbed design from Sartoria looks fresh against the Love Tattoo from dEVOL. He has combined his look with the urban cool skin from Hot Dive with goatee and detailed shaggy hair from Uncleweb Studio.
The coupled have successfully achieved an urban cool look, that is flexible, adaptable but most of all trendy.
